2005 Seahorse Coot 35

This Coot 35 by Seahorse Marine is a very capable trawler for her size.  With a long range of 1800mn at 7 knots, she is long distance and economical to run.  Sails are available to assist and help reduce fuel consumption.  This particular Coot 35 was driven down from Hong Kong to Singapore by the current owner at an average of 7.5 knots, only toping up the fuel once in Malaysia near the end of the trip.  The trip was at the tail end of a monsoon so they experienced some heavy seas, and everyone on board was surprised with how well she handled the rough water.

The forward cabin is a double bed (with separator if needed) and has an ensuite bathroom with separate stand up shower.  The main saloon has a convertible dinette which becomes two full size single beds in the saloon.  The raised wheelhouse provides good visibility, plenty of seating, chart table and has handy Dutch split doors on both port and starboard sides, giving easy access to the side decks.  The cockpit has plenty of storage and there is a ladder up to the saloon roof deck which has a beautifully finished Japanese style table.

Designed and built by Seahorse Marine in Zhuhai, China, she is well kitted out and built solid due to her welded steel construction using 12mm, 6mm and 4mm marine grade steel plates.  The single John Deere 4045TFM50 marine engine with ZF transmission is reliable, has dual Racor filters and is teamed up with a 6kw Kohler genset, also with a Racor filter.

There have been plenty of upgrades by the current owner with new engine and genset batteries in 2015, new compass, Raymarine E80, extra bilge pumps, to name a few.  She is due for antifouling and would benefit from some minor maintenance repairs at the same time, but overall she is in great condition.
